Polwarth Tops
Naturally coloured top consisting 100% Polwarth wool grown at the home of the Polwarth sheep breed – Tarndwarncoort, with some white wool from nearby Fairview Polwarths.
The fibres are long and soft perfect for handspinning. Its also adds texture and volume to knitting and weaving. The natural colours add depth to felting works too.
Micron range 22-24. Lofty fibres of around 9-11cm.
The tops are approx 6cm to 10cm wide. All are available in 100gm plaits, 500gm hanks or 1kg bumps. The Cream (undyed) tops are also available in 3kg bumps - ideal for large projects.
Grown and processed entirely in Victoria - having only travelled within 120kms.
